This year Recycle Now is supporting the Woodland Trust Christmas card recycling scheme - a charity which helps fund the planting of 1,000's of new trees each year.
Over the last 12 years the scheme has collected a massive13,080 tonnes of cards allowing the Trust to plant 155,000 trees across the country.
In January, the Woodland Trust are teaming up with several high street partners who will have special card recycling boxes in store. The aim is to collect enough cards to plant 12,000 native trees and the good news is, you can choose the region they are planted in! Simply visit the Woodland Trust website, pledge to recycle your cards and select the planting region of your choice.
Christmas card recycling boxes will be available in the following stores:-
- WHSmith;
- TK Maxx; and
- Marks & Spencer
