Recycler - Helping the world recycle
Poster Competition
Check out some of the entries from this term's poster competition, which is all about batteries.
The prize for this competition is a fantastic wind-up radio, which doesn't need batteries at all!
Congratulations to Grace, whose winning entry can be seen below.
Don't forget to visit after Easter to see what next term's competition is going to be.
Do we need to throw batteries away? Not if we follow Recycler’s 3Rs…
- Reduce
- Use plug-in equipment, or equipment which doesn't need batteries at all, like wind-up or solar-powered!
- Reuse
- When you do need to use batteries, make sure they are rechargeable so that they can be used again and again.
- Recycle
- If you still have some batteries to throw away, why not find out whether you can recycle them in your area?
Keep sending your work to Recycler at Waste Watch, 56-64 Leonard Street, London, EC2A 4LT or email recycler@wastewatch.org.uk and look for it here next term.
Oh! I hope you have started your 3 point challenge at school and are remembering to remind the grown-ups about what else you can do at home!
What people say about Recycler...
When you came to do an assembly at our school I liked your dance and I learnt a lot about recycling and reusing. I enjoyed it. I have got my mum to reuse the plastic bags from the supermarket.
