Welcome
Hello, my name is Cheryl and I am the home composting adviser for Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Rotherham.
My job is to make sure that anyone who is interested has all the information needed to begin, improve and develop their home composting successfully. This year I will be around the counties at various events and will be more than happy to answer any of your questions or simply have a chat about how everything is going. So why not come along to one of the events listed and say hello, have a chat about your compost bin or how to get started.

I will be holding an informal talk with a question and answer session at the Fairfield SureStart Children's Centre at:

I will be at the school to give advice and support on composting at their Environment Day. I will be working alongside Derbyshire County Council.
I will be working alongside Rotherham Council in the city centre giving advice help and support on home composting. I will have a display, examples of bins available and information leaflets to hand out.
Derbyshire County Council have recently opened a Household Waste Recycling Centre in Bolsover and I will be there to give advice, help and support on home composting.

This event is taking place at ‘New’ Idle Valley Rural Learning Centre, Retford . Nottinghamshire. 6pm to 8pm. The launch events will provide a relaxed atmosphere in which to gather an insight into the Green Guardians Awards and the Wildlife Trust's programme of environmental and conservation work. It will also be an opportunity to meet with some of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trusts Wildlife Guardians as well as colleagues and acquaintances from the county’s leading businesses and statutory organisations.
I will be working alongside Derbyshire County Council at Sainsbury's Ripley to promote home composting as part of Compost Awareness Week.
