Welcome to my home composting adviser webpage !
As a home composting adviser I visit schools, gardening clubs, community groups and any other interested organisations within East Dunbarton, East Renfrew, Glasgow and North Lanarkshire carrying out talks or workshops about the benefits of composting. I also attend local and national events within my area to give people the chance to see the compost bins that are available through the national home composting scheme in Scotland.
I will be attending events most weekends promoting composting, please feel free to come along and talk to me at these events. You can find details of where I will be in the events section below.

Events for May
For Compost Awareness Week, running from the 4-10th May please look at the section above.
15th-18th May , North Lanarkshire Flower Festival, Viewpark. Come along to the viewpark festival to see the bins on offer from the Scottish Government and to speak to me about any composting questions you might have. I will be beside the countryside rangers and the council's recycling team.

COMPOST AWARENESS WEEK
4th - 10th May 2008
Join in the fun and find out about composting during the most exciting week of the year! I will be travelling around the 4 council areas in my wee red van spreading the word on composting.
Tuesday 6th May , Bargeddie Windsor Hall 9-1pm. Come along to the hall to find out all about the benefits of composting, as well as finding out about the improvements to North Lanarkshire Council's recycling collections.
Friday 9th May, IKEA Edinburgh, 11-4pm Come along to find out about home composting at IKEA. Two advisers will be there conducting a Waste Aware Scotland Wwee Beasties Workshop.
Saturday 10th May, Kibble Palace at Glasgow Botanics, 10-4pm. Come along to Kibble to learn about composting and to see a display of the bins on offer from the Scottish Goverment, starting at only £6.
Sunday 11th May, Mugdock Park, East Dunbarton Council, 10-3pm. Come along to the park to see my red gazebo set up beside the brand new recycling facilities. I will be there to answer any composting questions.
Home Composting Heroes
Do you know lots about composting?
Would you like to help promote composting within your area, for promotional activities and occasionally giving a quote to inspire people to give composting a try?
