City is first to recycle your old batteries

Bradford offers a new battery recycling scheme.
Bradford Council is trialling a new system to recycle old batteries. In partnership with battery manufacturers and importers, major retailers and other stakeholders, the Council is offering a free national recovery scheme for all types of batteries.
The scheme, called Battery Back, provides special bins placed at Council buildings and recycling centres for the disposal of old batteries. The scheme will also combine the collection of batteries with other hazardous waste so that it can be collected in a cost-effective way.
