Flooring recycling showing success in UK

Success for the initiative celebrating its first anniversary
A vinyl floor recycling scheme, which began last year, has recovered 70 tonnes of material during its first 12 months, according to Axion Consulting, the recycling group behind the scheme.
Currently there are 18 drop-off points and over 100 collection sites across the UK for the material to be collected. The materials are then processed at one of three recycling centres in Manchester, Kent and Letchworth.
The feedback on the scheme has been overwhelmingly positive and has helped manufacturers to increase recycling rates, divert waste from landfill and save on disposal costs.
