‘Freecycle’ event planned

The London Borough of Southwark is to hold its first ‘freecycle’ event next month.
Freecycle is a US concept that is growing in popularity to allow people to exchange and pass down unwanted goods instead of throwing them away. Freecycle was started in Arizona in 2003 to stop people throwing away unwanted but working household items. The idea is to give it to someone else for free.
Freecycle is also a popular website where you can advertise your unwanted items.
