McDonald's waste experiment is a success

McDonald’s plans to roll out a waste reduction scheme after calling the pilot scheme a success.
The Carbon Trust, who audited McDonald’s, said it had cut is carbon impact from waste disposal by 54%.
Waste from 11 restaurants in Sheffield was collected by waste contractor, Veolia Environmental Services, who treated it at a nearby energy-from-waste facility where the power produced helped heat and light Sheffield City Hall and Weston Park Hospital.
