Officials hail recycling efforts

Recycling in the Filey and Scarborough area has almost doubled since last autumn when a new alternate weekly collection system was introduced. Last October, Scarborough Council’s recycling rate was just 18 per cent but now, it is estimated to have rocketed to 35 per cent.
