Uni students set for special lectures on the art of recycling
Students to help reduce cross contamination rates in Exeter.
Students at Exeter University are being provided with extra tuition on the city’s rubbish collections in a drive to make students living off campus more aware of the city’s recycling policies.
The initiative has been driven by the city’s recycling education officer who identified the issue of cross contamination as a major problem for the city’s recycling rates.
The tutorials are being run in partnership with the university with the help of the student’s Green Society.
A special information pack has also been put together for students which contains a letter of welcome to the city, and includes a calendar showing the collection dates for the area in which they live, along with information on what facilities are available.
