Hearing Aids

Hearing aids

No. Your local recycling centre won’t accept hearing aids for recycling and they can’t be collected as part of your local authority’s kerbside schemes.

What can I do with them?

Hearing Aids are collected at a variety of places such as:-

  • Doctors surgeries
  • Hospital audiology departments
  • Private hearing specialists
  • Some charity shops i.e. Help the Aged and Age Concern
  • Organisations i.e. The Lions Clubs

These collections are usually charity based and the hearing aids donated are repaired, refurbished and sent overseas for reuse in developing countries.  Batteries for hearing aids are also wanted.
