Furoshiki example for bottles

Furoshiki is a fun and creative style of gift wrapping using a large piece of cloth to create elegant looking presents. The good news is, when the present is unwrapped there’s nothing to be thrown away!

What can I use?

The material must be large enough to wrap around the present several times but remember to use a fabric that not too bulky or it will be difficult to knot.  You could use any of the following items:

  • silk or polyester scarf
  • pashmina
  • pretty tablecloth
  • remnant of fabric

Shop around for beautiful but cheap fabrics.  Great deals such as two pashima's for four pounds can be found on the high street!

Two presents in one...

Why not use this gift tag so the lucky recipient of the present can find out where to watch the video and how to turn the wrapping into a funky shoulder bag!
