Why is it important?

Recycling is not just financially important, but it makes sense to make best use of our limited natural resources – recycling is good for the environment. Recycling is a real success story and we should be proud of what we have achieved as a nation.

The even better news is that three-quarters of us now consider ourselves to be 'committed recyclers' (people who think recycling is important, and make extra effort to recycle a lot of their waste).
