Don't bin us. Rescue us!

Join the mission to rescue recyclable items

  • Recycling is widespread across the UK, with 88% of us regularly doing it.
  • 79% of households miss one or more items from their recycling.
  • 2.3 billion recyclable items end up in the rubbish every year.

Who can you rescue from your rubbish bin?

Yogi the yoghurt pot

I’m too cool for the bin!

Trigger the spray bottle

Spray me today… recycle me tomorrow!

Rolly the toilet roll tube

I’m ready to roll!

Deo the deodorant can

I’m full of energy!

Shampers the shampoo bottle

Let me shine!

Minty the toothpaste tube

I’m fresh to recycling!

Spritz the perfume bottle

I smell too sweet for the rubbish!

Ally the aluminium foil

I’m a ball of potential

Is recycling really worth it?

Yes, every item you add to your recycling makes a real difference.

When your council collects your recycling, it’s sorted at a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), sent to reprocessors, and then transformed back into products we use every day - from packaging to furniture.

The majority of items in your recycling are recovered and reused, with only a small fraction going to landfill or energy recovery, so you can be confident that taking a moment to rescue one more item really is worthwhile.
