More than 100 automated recycling machines can now be found at Tesco UK stores, and every year, three million people use them.

These machines help us to recycle cans, glass and plastic bottles more efficiently – compacting the material on the spot and saving seven times more 'vehicle miles' than conventional recycling bins.

Thanks to innovative technology, information screens at the recycling centres also let customers know the amount of CO2 they save each time they recycle.
